The best way to find preforeclosure homes in Kentucky is to use a list provider.  Finding good reliable data is the first step if you want to market to homeowners in foreclosure, and it’s very often worth it to pay someone (or a company) to mine this data for you.  Once you’ve developed a system to have this information delivered to you, your marketing becomes a lot easier.

Kentucky had the 36th highest foreclosure rating in the nation in September, according to RealtyTrac's monthly report.

September foreclosure activity in Kentucky dropped by 17.6 percent from the previous month to 751 filings, or one filing for every 2,484 households.

It was a decrease of 15.8 percent compared with September 2006's foreclosure filings, which include default notices, auction sale notices and bank repossessions.

Nationwide, 223,538 foreclosure filings were posted in September, down 8.4 percent from August 2007 and up 99.2 percent from September 2006. The national September foreclosure rate was one filing for every 557 households.
